The marriage of the sauce and the cheese

What a great weekend! So the title of my blog comes from the amazing Matt Loper, who says the most ridiculous things I have ever heard. Today at lunch he was describing how pizza is like a marriage between the sauce and the cheese, the oven being the ceremony. Also, in case you didn't know, when the cheese slides off the slice and lands on another slice, the cheese is commiting adultery against the sauce. I would never laugh as much as I do if it wasn't Matt Loper!
Another ridiculous thing happened today! So, I showed up to church by myself, didn't sit with my friends because the whole stake was there so I didn't bother looking for them. But the main thing is that after church I found my friends and this happened!

Ashley and I had worn almost the exact same thing to church this morning! How weird is that!!! I have never ever worn this top with this skirt, nor has she, yet for some cosmic reason we both chose to wear this ensemble today. WEIRD! And there is Matt in the picture too, just because he told that awesome story about pizza.

Hmm other things this weekend...Oh I participated in Devils in Disguise on Saturday, which was way fun! For those of you who don't know what that is, it was this big ASU event where clubs on campus all do different community service projects that day. I participated with the LDS Students Association, along with most of my friends. Our service project entailed cleaning the bookshelves and dusting books at the Tempe Library. I had a lot of fun getting to know people and just doing some good for the community.

That is pretty much all my weekend..besides going to work a lot, and reading my book constantly, Eclipse is pretty much amazing and I can't wait for the sequel to come out in august! Well, I now have to write a paper on some obsevations I did concerning gross/fine motor skills in toddlers..blah..hope you all are having more fun than I am.

I met a general authority!!!!

Today was wonderful, for the most part. I woke up early and did baptisms at the Mesa temple, and it was just so amazing to walk through the grounds and feel so at peace. It is so beautiful there right now with all the flowers in bloom, I can't even describe how breathtaking it was just walking through the grounds on my way to the baptistry. After that I went to the Institute and listened to Elder Kerr of the Quorum of the Seventy speak, and he was awesome! I really got something from almost everything he said. The coolest part though was that afterwards I was talking to Brother Hofeling and he said he wanted to introduce me to Elder Kerr! So I went over there and Elder Kerr spoke of how great a decision I had made in joining the church and stuff like that, but he also said that I looked like a future Relief Society President! Not quite sure how I feel about that.. I'm thinking I hope it never happens because it seems wicked stressful.

After the whole hooplah at the institute was over, delicious free lunch by the way thanks to the missionaries, I went apartment shopping with Ashley. We were both getting so stressed and cranky, so it was not a fun time at all! But, the good thing is I think we finally found a place to live, we just need to convince some parents to co sign, my padre was definitely not happy about that. I cannot wait for next semester to have an awesome place with my favorite girls! We are gonna make it sooo cool.

Well I am off to work from 5:00 to 2:00 a.m. uggghhhh! If you get hungry for a delicious cheeseburger then come visit me! :)

First Blog!

I don't exactly know what inspired me to create a blog, perhaps it was watching Kara play with her blog every thursday in our special ed. class, so Kara will be the one to blame if I get addicted to this ha ha. I really like to express my thoughts and opinions so hopefully this blog thing is a good thing for me, especially since the GA's want us to be keepinig a record of our lives, so technically I'm being spiritual by doing this ha ha. So, a little background about me for all who may be reading all the posts following this one. I am 19 years old, turning 20 this September, and was born and raised in Avondale, Az. I joined the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints in June of 2007 and it was honestly the greatest decision I have ever made in my life, I have never been this happy, or this sure of my Heavenly Father's plan for me. I am the only member in my family, which is difficult at times but it makes for some funny stories. I'm sure I'll have the privilege to post some at a later date. I am in my first year of college at Arizona State University, studying Elementary Education. I think I will teach middle school english, but I change my mind frequently so we will see what I decide in the end. I have the greatest friends in the entire world! They really make me so happy when I am so stressed with life! I work around 35 hours a week at In-N-Out Burger flippin' hamburgers, I have worked there for 3 years so I owe of lot of my character development to my job. It's really hard to work that much while I'm taking 15 credit hours at ASU but it pays the bills so I don't really have a choice. It is difficult living on my own but it is definitely worth it! I love my family to pieces but I really enjoy my independence and freedom. Well, I think that's enough for my first entry, I hope my life is interesting enough for others to read..if not that's ok, I like how my life is going ha ha. Have a great day!
